System requirements

What you need to run Chessware - Windows 10 or 11 64-bit, a browser, and an internet connection for license checks.

The desktop app

Windows: Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit.
Internet: required to log in and for the license re-checks every few minutes. Everything else (engines, the cheat itself) runs on your PC.
Browser: Chrome or Edge installed on the PC. Chessware starts it with its own profile — your normal browser data isn't touched.
Disk: about 500 MB for the app and its engines (they unpack into %LOCALAPPDATA%\Chessware after sign-in).
Extras: none. No frameworks, no redistributables, no admin rights.

Not supported: 32-bit Windows, Windows 8.1 and older, macOS, Linux, ChromeOS, iOS and Android.

The dashboard and website

Any current browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari) with JavaScript on and cookies allowed. We use only essential cookies — no tracking, no advertising.

Network

Chessware talks to its license server over HTTPS, and to your local browser over a loopback debugging connection. Firewalls and antivirus should allow both; if you use a VPN, keep it steady — a license check has to get through every few minutes.

Accounts

A Discord account is required — it's how you sign in and where our community lives.
