Account & licenses
Deleting your account
How to delete your Chessware account and Discord data, what gets removed, and what we must keep for tax law.
Deleting your account is permanent: it revokes every license key tied to it.
Before you delete
- Download anything you want to keep (receipts, your data export).
- Ask about a refund first, if one might apply — deleted accounts are harder to look up.
- If you just want Chessware off this PC, you can simply sign out everywhere and delete the app; the account can stay.
What gets deleted
- License keys — all of them, everywhere, immediately.
- Discord roles — Member, Customer, product roles.
- Profile — your Discord ID, username, avatar, email.
- License usage — activation times, check-ins, the anonymous hardware fingerprint hash.
- Download history.
What we keep
An anonymous sales record (date, amount, currency, country) for the years tax law requires. Stripe keeps its own records under your rights with them. Your Discord account itself is untouched — deleting Chessware doesn't touch Discord.
How
Dashboard → Account → Danger zone → Delete account → type DELETE → confirm with Discord if your session is old. Sign up again any time for a fresh, empty account.
